The Easiest Tastiest Sweet Potato Recipe
Sweet potatoes are the perfect cozy fall/winter vegetable. This recipe is super simple and is always a huge hit when I bring it to gatherings as a side dish. I’ve even gotten compliments from people who don’t usually like sweet potatoes! I, however, LOVE sweet potatoes and even though I’ve tried other recipes I keep coming back to this one. And as a bonus to their taste, sweet potatoes are chock full of fiber, potassium, antioxidants, and vitamins A, B6, and C.
Ingredients:
Sweet potatoes
Olive oil or avocado oil
Salt
Pepper
Granulated Garlic or Garlic Powder
Cumin
Instructions:
Wash the sweet potatoes and then cut them into cubes.
In a bowl lightly, yet fully, coat the sweet potatoes in the oil of your choosing.
Add the seasonings and mix until the sweet potatoes look like they are covered in the amount of seasoning you like. I like to make sure each piece has a sprinkle of all of the seasonings.
Roast or airfry the sweet potatoes at 350°F-375°F or on the potato setting until they reach your desired softness.
The more spread out they are the crispier they will be and quicker they will cook.
I usually start with cooking them for 15 mins, and then check on them, shake them up a bit and add more time if needed.
To make them slightly crispier, cook at 375°F. If cooking at a higher temperature I recommend using avocado oil instead of olive oil because avocado oil has a higher smoke point, meaning it can withstand higher temperatures before oxidizing and breaking down.
They usually take longer to cook in the oven than in the air-fryer for me.
5. Enjoy!
